Mötley Crüe - Too Fast For Love (1981)
Este ano finalmente tomei vergonha na cara e fui atrás dos discos do Mötley Crüe pra comprovar se eles são realmente a banda mais influente do hard rock oitentista. E não é que é verdade? Ouvi à exaustão todos os trabalhos lançados nessa década e a sensação é de uma descoberta excitante. Apesar das pessoas se dividirem em achar que o melhor álbum é o Shout At The Devil (pros mais puristas e old school) ou o Dr. Feelgood (pelo número de hits), meu voto fica com o Too Fast For Love, a estréia deles.
Começar um trabalho com Live Wire já mostra que os caras vieram pra detonar tudo, com uma sonoridade punk, porém no bom sentido (ou seja, com habilidade pra tocar instrumentos). A sequência com Come On And Dance e Public Enemy #1 continua num ritmo pegado, até que vem Merry-Go-Round, uma balada (se é que pode ser chamada assim) excelente.
A dobradinha Take Me To The Top e Piece Of Your Action chega com tudo, sendo que a primeira tem uma introdução muito foda e a segunda, um riff poderoso. Mas a minha preferida é Starry Eyes, uma música obscenamente boa. Nem sei por onde começar os elogios. O início só com a batera, o riff, o vocal, a linha de baixo. Enfim, a faixa inteira. O refrão é de uma perfeição inexplicável, isso que é só o nome da música repetido duas vezes. Imagina se tivesse algo mais na letra!
A faixa-título é uma paulada só, numa espécie de manifesto do espírito de urgência que permeia a banda (ok, essa foi frase foi uma putice sem tamanho, mas quem ouvir o disco vai entender o que eu quero dizer). Encerrando essa obra-prima, uma balada (mais uma vez, não sei se esse é o melhor termo, mas uso na falta de outro melhor) chamada On With The Show. A guitarrinha do início me rasga a alma e a letra também. Fico emocionado toda vez que ouço.
Outro destaque do disco é o uso indiscrimado de COWBELL. Tommy Lee usa o tempo inteiro e isso só pode ser louvado à exaustão. Maior componente de uma bateria, sem dúvida alguma. Das faixas bônus que vêm na última versão lançada nem vou falar nada, pois precisaria de outro post. Só deixo dito que Too Fast For Love é obrigatório pra qualquer pessoa que gosta de rock - de verdade, só pra lembrar pela enésima vez.

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod's. It works well, but isn't as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that's not an issue, but if you're planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod's larger screen and better browser may be important.

Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass' favor.

Good luck getting people behind this one. Though you make some VERY fascinating points, youre going to have to do more than bring up a few things that may be different than what weve already heard. Have you ever considered about including a little bit more than just your articles? I mean, what you say is important and everything.
